NON-KINETIC APPROACH, KEY TO COUNTERINSURGENCY OPERATIONS - THEATRE COMMANDER The Theatre Commander Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Maj Gen W Shaibu, has said the non - kinetic approach is a panacea to enhancing counterinsurgency operations in the NE. He disclosed this when he received a delegation from the Accra Initiative (AI) for Regional Strand on Non-kinetic Strategy in Combatting Insurgency, led by the National Coordinator Security Governance Initiative and Adviser to the Chief of Defence Staff on non-kinetic, Hon Aliyu Ibrahim Gebi at the Headquarters Theatre Command Maiduguri, today 29 March 2024. COUNTER TERRORISM: NIGERIAN ARMY TROOPS NEUTRALIZE TERRORISTS, RECOVER ARMS, RUSTLED CATTLE IN BORNO, KATSINA Nigerian Army troops deployed for counter terrorism operations in the North East in conjunction with Hybrid Forces on Wednesday 26 March 2024 neutralized one terrorist and recovered arms, ammunition and rustled cattle during a clearance operation on identified Boko Haram/Islamic State of West Africa Province enclaves within Gori general area in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.  In a fierce firefight, the troops successfully overpowered and, neutralized one terrorist, rescued several rustled cattle and recovered arms and ammunition from the terrorists.
